So the time has come....we have been talking about this for YEARS...a party to celebrate turning 40!! For some of us 40 will be here faster than others (that's you Tommy)!!
I know that there are a few ideas floating around. One of them being, going to an all inclusive in Mexico. Please let me know what you think. I have had several spots that people have suggested. So I think we will all need to decide what we want to do. Unfortunately, I know we can't please everyone so majority will rule and if no one says anything then I will rule....hahahahaha. No seriously...this trip is for everyone so please tell us what you think.
If you have a place that you want everyone to consider going...please send me the link and I will post it here so that everyone can check it out.
Also, let us know what time would work best for you to offload those kids and get you Mexican groove on. I know that we have a couple people in school so we might not be able to go during the "school year". We might have to go next summer. Another thing you should start doing is getting your passport. Start the process now so it's on less thing you have to worry about.

I am soooo excited for this trip...I know that it won't really matter where we go as long as we are all together!! And don't forget to bring your PARTY PANTS because you will definitely need them!!

Are we set on Mexico? Its my favorite so no objections here. Several thoughts...Cabo, Todos Santos, Sayulita or Troncones (our favorite spot North of Zihautanejo). I like the idea of renting a big compound with a swimming pool on the beach, we all have our own cabanas, but share communal space. Most of those places include housekeeping and some offer a chef. There are probably enough restaurants for us to eat dinner out most of the time. Kathleen, I will send some links your way.
ReplyDeleteSummer works best for me because of school. With my internship, it will be nearly impossible for me to leave during the term. My Spring Break, another option, is usually the 3rd week of March.
As for the length of stay, if we go in the Summer I am down for a week, but if everyone is thinking shorter Bry and I can go somewhere else or stay a little longer. So that is not really an issue.
It is going to be so much fun, makes me miss you guys even more,

Site looks good Kat, love the picture, I showed everyone at work. Mexico sounds fun. Third week in March works for us or anytime during spring. June works (better at the beginning) We will be out of town July 3-10 and July 25- 31.

Tipton emailed and for them the 3rd week in March is out...summer works best for them. She suggested maybe the week of June 14th or June 21st.

ReplyDeleteI'm here with a thought. Heard about a really cool place in Mexico with great All-Inclusive options, outside of Cancun called Akumal. Tanya and I have always wanted to go to the Carribean side of Mex. People should let us know if Mex is a good option for everyone. Flights are really reasonable to Cancun. Love ya'll and can't wait to spend some drunken nites together. Bry
